More than 25 years

For more than 25 years, Internacional Química de Cobre (IQC), has been dedicated to the production and marketing of products for the field at national and international level.

Thanks to the efforts of several agriculture entrepreneurs from Alamo area, the company Internacional Química de Cobre (formerly Picasa) was built in the year of 1988; over time engineer Juan Manuel Ramirez got to make this venture, a profitable business because of its manageability, which continues consolidating as a processing citrus company daily, seeking to meet the existing market needs, both national and international level.

In the mid-eighties it was decided to seize the opportunities offered by Agrobusiness to our country, so the Food division was established with the installation of a citrus processing plant for the production of concentrated orange juice (FOCJ); product exported every year from Alamo, Veracruz, to international markets such as the US, Canada, France, Germany, Holland, Israel and Japan; with 100% of compliance with international quality standards.

The citrus plant is located in the town of Alamo in the northern part of the state of Veracruz. This region is characterized by its large agricultural development, such as citrus, papaya and corn. Being the main crop of orange, with a total of 49% of the area planted, meaning a 60% of total national production. Another advantage of this place is the ability to distribute the product by the proximity to international ports such as Veracruz, Tampico and Tuxpan, as well as its proximity to the border with the United States, especially Texas.
